Ultivo is an acronym for Ultra Low Temperature
Innovative Vial Operator. It is a product system
designed in 2011 to be used in biomedical labs, which addresses the process of accessing, handling
and manipulating cryogenic vials stored in -80ºC
freezers. Ritual of use has been the focus of the Ultivo System. A holistic, process focused product
design, resulted in what can be described, as the
only complete solution to accessing, handling,
manipulating and storing cryogenic vials with strict
affordances guarding the prescribed ritual of use.
